Kept Results
& Evidence

What the app preserves for an honest session record, what stays on the user’s device, what may be submitted, and what Paranormal Invites™ never takes.

Privacy before research

The app records the session.
It does not search the phone.

The Invitation App may use the camera, microphone, and built-in sensors during a session the user chooses to run. That does not give Paranormal Invites™ permission to collect unrelated information from the device.

The app does not take precise GPS coordinates. It does not pull contacts, text messages, call history, passwords, browsing activity, unrelated photos, or unrelated files. Coarse city or regional information is optional only when the participant chooses to provide it for research comparison.

PLAIN-LANGUAGE PROMISE

We receive only the permitted session package after the user deliberately presses the green Download to Paranormal Invites Database button.

01 / USER CHOICE

How information moves—or does not move

  1. 01

    A session is created locally

The participant starts a session and permits only the device features needed for the selected app mode.

  2. 02

The app builds the local record

Session events, evidence, available context, notes, and silent periods are kept together on the device.

  3. 03

    The participant reviews it

The user can examine the completed session and decide whether it should contribute to the Paranormal Invites™ research collection.

  4. 04

    Nothing uploads by itself

Ending a session does not secretly transfer phone contents or unrelated personal information.

  5. 05

    The green button gives permission

Only after the user deliberately presses the database button is the permitted session package submitted.

  6. 06

    The submission is marked

A received state helps prevent the same session from being unintentionally submitted more than once.

02 / WHAT MAY BE KEPT IN A SESSION

Evidence with context

The session package

The exact contents depend on the modes used and what the participant permits. These are research records—not a copy of the person’s phone.

01

Session times

Start, end, duration, event times, waiting windows, and no-response periods.

02

Room baseline

The selected room profile and the normal conditions observed before testing.

03

Mode results

Words, question events, phonetic fragments, and mode-specific outcomes.

04

User captures

SLS stills, session recordings, or other evidence the user intentionally creates within the app.

05

Available sensor context

Relevant motion, magnetic, or microphone-level context recorded for the session.

06

Available radio state

Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular, and NFC state where Android permits detection.

07

App context

The prototype build, mode state, and versioned research rules needed to interpret output.

08

Participant notes

Observations, possible contamination, session labels, and details the user chooses to add.

03 / WHAT WE DO NOT TAKE

The line is clear

A research app is not permission to inspect a phone.

Paranormal Invites™ limits the research collection to the intentionally submitted session record.

Permission is specific: using a camera, microphone, or sensor for a chosen session does not authorize access to unrelated device content.

04 / WHY NEGATIVE RESULTS STAY

No response belongs in the evidence

No output produced
is still a result.

01

It shows ordinary behavior

A session can produce no word or phonetic sound while still recording sensor changes below the response threshold. Those readings help establish what the app normally does under different conditions.

02

It protects against cherry-picking

Keeping only dramatic sessions would make activity appear more common than the full record supports.

03

It strengthens comparisons

No-output sessions preserve the sensor pattern, location type, room, radio state, duration, and environmental context so they can be compared with sessions that did produce a response.

04

A negative adds positive value

Below-threshold activity may reveal repeatable sensor patterns even when no output appears. Keeping it helps improve the app and guides better controlled follow-up.

TRANSPARENT TO PARTICIPANTS

What is recorded, what may be submitted, when permission is given, and what the research record contains.

PROPRIETARY & SECURE

Exact thresholds, internal weighting, selection logic, dictionary architecture, credentials, database security, and source code.
